Pauli P is Paul Parente, a San Diego house DJ and promoter whose own profile traces his part in the city's scene back to throwing raves in 1991, including Spi vs Spi at E Street Alley and Studio 64 at Montage from 1997 to 2002. DNA Lounge billed him from Dubcoast / Union for this Melon night. His co-headliner Monty Luke, billed from Loopwreckas and 3PA / Imperial Dub, is originally from San Francisco; he later moved to Detroit to work with Carl Craig's Planet E, founded the Black Catalogue label, and is now based in Berlin.

Red Melon

Dano (AKA Daniel Hruby) is the Founder and owner of underground dance music label Red Melon Records. Founded by Dano in 1996, with Jay joining about a year later and Fredness becoming the critical third member, the label showcased the burgeoning West Coast Sound movement that reigned in the new century of underground rave and club music. Dano, a DJ and producer of techno and house music, has headlined major clubs around the world, including London's Fabric, Singapore's Zouk, and with label Partner JZ (Jay Zimmermann) produced Underground events Melon and Watermelon boat parties from 2000 onward.
