Melon — David Alvarado — January 4, 2003, DNA Lounge

David Alvarado is a house DJ and producer born in Los Angeles. His early "Las Americas Project" single caught the attention of Richie Hawtin and John Acquaviva, who were starting the Definitive Records house imprint, and he went on to run his own Bomb Records, which also featured Eddie Amador and Derrick Carter. His productions have appeared on Ovum, Peacefrog, Strictly Rhythm and Yoshitoshi, and he mixed CDs for Chicago's Guidance Records and for Deep Sessions Vol. 2.

Red Melon

Dano (AKA Daniel Hruby) is the Founder and owner of underground dance music label Red Melon Records. Founded by Dano in 1996, with Jay joining about a year later and Fredness becoming the critical third member, the label showcased the burgeoning West Coast Sound movement that reigned in the new century of underground rave and club music. Dano, a DJ and producer of techno and house music, has headlined major clubs around the world, including London's Fabric, Singapore's Zouk, and with label Partner JZ (Jay Zimmermann) produced Underground events Melon and Watermelon boat parties from 2000 onward.
