From Madrid with Love, from 2001, brought Spain's David Penn and DJ Chus to Red Melon, with Dano adding his own remix. The Distraction Dub rides continuous tribal congas and dub-techno stabs washed in tape delay, a spoken "Do you wanna love?" marking the drop. Dano's SF Love Mix opens beatless on drones and eerie pads before broken kicks and congas assemble into a full, bouncing tribal groove. The Original Stereo goes long-form, layering panned percussion, chant chops and spoken lines into a full-ensemble peak. Early-2000s tribal tech-house, a Madrid-to-West Coast exchange in three moods.
