DJ Gabriel is Gabriel Chong, a Singapore-born DJ and producer based in Malaysia, billed at Melon from Carbon and Tempo in Kuala Lumpur. He represented Singapore at the 1988 DMC World DJ Championships in London, opened the first dance record store in Kuala Lumpur and co-founded the Tempo DJ collective, and he also produced as Deep House Society and Jeneral Kai. He died in July 2021 at 48.
Dano (AKA Daniel Hruby) is the Founder and owner of underground dance music label Red Melon Records. Founded by Dano in 1996, with Jay joining about a year later and Fredness becoming the critical third member, the label showcased the burgeoning West Coast Sound movement that reigned in the new century of underground rave and club music. Dano, a DJ and producer of techno and house music, has headlined major clubs around the world, including London's Fabric, Singapore's Zouk, and with label Partner JZ (Jay Zimmermann) produced Underground events Melon and Watermelon boat parties from 2000 onward.
