Liam Connolly

Liam Connolly is a Sheffield DJ, producer and promoter, and the owner and A&R of Delve Deeper Recordings. With Jenny Fu he founded Delve Deeper, the deep and soulful house party that grew into the label, and the two still play its nights as founders and residents.

His first release as a producer, Scuba, came out on Delve Deeper in 2017. It was a nod to the earlier deep house sound that first got him into the music, and it was named in memory of the legendary Sheffield event of that name. The remixes came from Dano, and that was the start of his working relationship with Dano. Delve Deeper had already released Sen-Sei & Dano's Dig Deep (That Look) in 2015. In 2019 Connolly and Dano shared Opus One on Salted's Flavor Saver EP Vol. 25.

Connolly's own track Therapy came out on Delve Deeper as DD25, and it went on to bring Red Melon back. In 2024, after a two-decade pause, the label's first release in nearly twenty years was Dano and Liam Connolly's Therapy Remixes, with Robert Owens on vocals for two of the mixes. The Rhythm Mix runs on a pitched-down spoken mantra: "The rhythm, the funk, the soul." Dano's Sweetest Dub gives the hook to Owens's deep, soulful voice. Dano's Melon Dub stretches across an eight-minute arc into darker, acid-drenched territory.
