Dano's Hold On, a 2024 single from Red Melon's revival era, is a deep-house ride that starts minimal and blooms into an uplifting peak. Punchy sub kicks, claps and sixteenth shakers lock with conga and bongo percussion over a deep, round, bouncing bass, while sparse vocal stutters give way to a soulful female "hold on" sample. Then the lift: a breakdown of '90s house piano and pads that opens the room before the peak drop lands. It closes on a clean DJ strip-out. Warm, patient and quietly euphoric, it's the kind of record Dano has built his reputation on.
